Budget Rent a Car of Atlanta is looking to hire a Auto and Truck Mechanic for our East Point location at our Maintenance Facility. The ideal candidate will have prior automotive experience.
.Requirements:Responsibilities:
• Examine cars and trucks based on out of service concerns
• Perform basic maintenance, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels
• Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
• Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
• Present explanation of why repairs are necessary
• Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately
• Ensure satisfaction at all times
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus
• ASE certification is a plus
• Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong communication skills
• Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic tools and equipment of a automotive technician
• Basic knowledge of diesel vehicle and diagnostic skills and ability to perform preventive maintenance services and inspections
