Responsibilities include scheduling and confirming patient appointments in Athena or EMR, communicating appointment details clearly in English and Spanish, coordinating provider availability, referrals, and follow-ups, verifying patient demographics and insurance information, reducing no-shows through reminders and proactive outreach, maintaining accurate scheduling records and documentation, and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of appointment scheduling or healthcare admin experience, bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, hands-on experience with Athena (athenaOne) or other EMR/EHR systems, and strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
