We are looking for a bilingual appointment scheduler who will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and experience navigating Athena or similar EMR platforms. Responsibilities include scheduling and confirming patient appointments in Athena or EMR, communicating appointment details clearly in English and Spanish, coordinating provider availability, referrals, and follow-ups, verifying patient demographics and insurance information, reducing no-shows through reminders and proactive outreach, maintaining accurate scheduling records and documentation, and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of appointment scheduling or healthcare admin experience, bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, hands-on experience with Athena (athenaOne) or other EMR/EHR systems, and strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
