Sign-On Bonus: Up to $7,500 (Based on Experience)Competitive Hourly Rate (Commensurate with Experience) Job Summary:McSweeney Chevrolet GMC/CDJR in Clanton, Alabama, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified General Motors Technician to join our team full-time. As a leading dealership in the automotive industry, we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and are looking for an individual who shares our passion for excellence. This position is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on GMC and Chevrolet vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. Compensation & Benefits:We offer competitive hourly compensation based on experience and certification level, along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off (PTO) * Retirement savings plans * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities * Sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 (amount determined by experience and qualifications) Key Responsibilities: * Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues. * Perform repairs and maintenance services in compliance with GMC and Chevrolet manufacturer specifications. * Utilize specialized tools and equipment to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. * Document all repair and maintenance activities in compliance with dealership and manufacturer requirements. * Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle conditions and recommended repairs. * Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and shop guidelines. * Stay current with new technologies and participate in required training and certification programs. * Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with dealership standards. Qualifications: * Current certification as a GMC/Chevrolet Technician (General Motors Certified Technician preferred). * Minimum 2 years of experience in a dealership or automotive repair shop environment. * Proficient in diagnostic and repair techniques, with experience using manufacturer-specific tools and equipment. * Strong knowledge of GMC and Chevrolet vehicle systems and emerging technologies. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
