Cook Intern/ Teaching Kitchen

Starting Pay: $18.50 per hour

Key responsibilities:

• Learn and prepare: Work alongside our chefs to prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions. You'll learn how to meet production schedules, deliver great food, and maintain high standards of presentation and taste.
• Cooking fundamentals: Master the basics, including portioning, food temperature management, and making sure every dish is both attractive and delicious. You'll get to taste all your creations!
• Food safety & cleanliness: Develop essential food safety knowledge, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness. You'll assist in maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and ensure all areas are organized according to safety standards.
• Kitchen operations: Operate kitchen equipment, learn maintenance procedures, and assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving food and supplies.
• Collaborate & learn: Participate in team meetings and safety training, build strong relationships with coworkers, and learn from industry experts.
• Customer service: Help serve meals with care, ensuring everything meets quality standards and is presented at its best. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.
• Safety first: Work with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment by following safety guidelines for equipment handling, food prep, and personal protective equipment.
