GRS are working with a well-established international financial trading firm who is seeking an experienced Database Manager/Developer to join its core technology team. This role is critical in supporting the infrastructure behind high-frequency trading, real-time data processing, and regulatory reporting. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your database expertise directly supports mission-critical trading operations. This role also offers a primarily remote work setup with occasional in-office collaboration days in Limassol. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain high-performance databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for low-latency systems Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with global financial regulations (e.g., ASIC, FCA) Manage cloud-based (AWS) and on-premise database environments Implement robust backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies Collaborate with developers and DevOps to improve trading system performance and reliability Support ETL processes and data integration across global platforms CANDIDATE PROFILE 3+ years in database development/administration, ideally in financial services Expert SQL skills with a focus on optimization and performance tuning Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server in production environments Familiarity with AWS cloud services and database infrastructure Scripting or programming knowledge (Python, C#, etc.) Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance in regulated industries Nice to Have: Experience in high-frequency trading or real-time data environments Knowledge of FX markets, institutional trading systems, or financial data structures Familiarity with database clustering, replication, and DevOps/CI-CD practices COMPANY BENEFITS Competitive salary Work Flexibility: This role offers a primarily remote work setup with occasional in-office collaboration days in Limassol Work with a global, collaborative, and highly experienced tech team Due to the high volume of applications received at GRS Recruitment, only shortlisted candidates will be responded to.
