Position Summary The Director of Communications is responsible for shaping, managing and executing Easterly's communication strategy. This role plays a critical part in elevating brand awareness, cultivating strong relationships with our Strategic Partners, and enhancing our position as a trusted partner to institutional and private wealth/retail clients. The ideal candidate will be both a strategist and a tactical operator, spearheading and executing thought leadership programs, refining messaging and brand positioning, and driving demand through digital, PR, content, and social media campaigns. Seeking an individual with deep experience in asset or wealth management marketing with a demonstrated ability to elevate brand awareness and accelerate growth. Primary responsibilities shall include the following: Strategic Communications & Messaging Serve as a key project manager on high intensity, fast moving situations with an ability to coordinate across functional areas keeping leadership, partners, clients and the broader team aware of deliverables, strategy and timelines Develop and execute holistic integrated communications strategies that align with our business objectives and sales targets Develop communications brand guidelines and partner with leadership to define Easterly's competitive positioning and voice Define target audiences and create tailored messaging strategies that influence key stakeholders including institutional investors, financial advisors, private investors and Strategic Partners Align communications with Easterly’s brand narrative, ensuring consistency across all internal and external messaging touchpoints including digital platforms, sales communications, press coverage, and thought leadership Update, manage, and deliver communications style guide and framework to internal team members and spokespersons, continually reflecting corporate decision making including but not limited to personnel additions, strategy updates, and Strategic Partner investments Review external communications developed by marketing, including event invitations Campaign Development & Thought Leadership Lead the creation and optimization of multi-channel communications campaigns that drive awareness, distribution generation, and engagement Align campaign messaging and rollout with sales priorities to support business growth Partner with sales and investment teams to design communications campaigns that accurately position our curated portfolio of solutions Create content strategy that includes thought leadership, digital media, web, and email Manage the content calendar, working in collaboration with internal sales and marketing teams and outsourced service providers to ensure timely delivery of high-impact content that supports distribution efforts Social Media & Digital Presence Direct Easterly’s social media voice, and enhance awareness through social campaigns, ensuring relevance, consistency, and compliance across platforms Grow followership and engagement on key social media platforms Oversee digital storytelling, social campaigns, and performance analytics to grow and engage target audiences Public Relations & Engagement Manage PR strategy and external PR agency to build media visibility, crafting compelling narratives that highlight Easterly’s unique value proposition and investment capabilities Coordinate with PR agency to media train spokespeople and participate in media interviews Coordinate with internal compliance team to ensure external messaging delivered by Easterly spokespeople complies with FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory related advertising rules Review briefs and talking points for all speaking engagements, major announcements, and media responses to ensure consistency with Easterly positioning Manage conference and speaking engagement strategy with PR agency to ensure alignment with sales and distribution targets Partner with leadership to drive effective employee engagement through submissions for corporate awards, community engagement opportunities, and corporate offsites Analytics & Measurement Track and analyze metrics, making data-driven recommendations to enhance engagement Conduct quarterly Strategic Partner calls to communicate achieved metrics over the period and disseminate recurring strategy rollout Oversee budget allocation across initiatives and ensure efficient use of resources Qualifications 6-8 years of public relations or corporate communications experience in asset management, wealth management, or financial services Proven experience developing and leading integrated marketing campaigns and communications strategies across paid, owned, earned, and shared channels Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for various audiences Strong background in brand stewardship, thought leadership, and public/media relations Broad knowledge of regulatory requirements, working closely with the Compliance team to ensure FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory related advertising rules are adhered to Experience working with public relations agencies is preferred Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of tasks from high-level strategy to rolling up your sleeves Must be able to work within deadlines and manage multiple projects Experience with analytics tools, Salesforce, marketing automation platforms a plus Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance required Onsite preferred Seniority level Seniority level Not Applicable Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Marketing, Public Relations, and Writing/Editing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Easterly Asset Management by 2x Get notified about new Director of Communications jobs in Boston, MA .
