Electrical Estimator

Location: Aberdeen, MD (On-site)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team at our Aberdeen location. This is a full-time, in-person role — remote work is not available. You’ll be working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, providing accurate and competitive estimates that help drive our success. This position reports directly to the VP of Estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and produce accurate electrical estimates.
• Select appropriate metrics and methodologies to generate valid cost projections.
• Conduct site visits and gather essential data from warehouses and other venues.
• Review project documents and consult with experts to collect necessary information.
• Analyze data and produce forecasts for labor, materials, and timelines.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and reports for submission.
• Evaluate offers and quotes to select the most advantageous deals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, and architects.
• Apply knowledge of electrical codes to support design and build estimates.
• Assist with pricing and estimating changes related to ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical estimator in residential and commercial projects.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the electrical field.
• Proven track record in electrical estimating.
• Certified electrical apprenticeship program graduate.
• Strong understanding of accounting and project management principles.
• Proficient in data analysis, estimation metrics, and research methodology.
• Comfortable working with numbers and technology.
• Experience with estimating software such as Viewpoint or ConEst.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Reliable, well-organized, and team-oriented.
