JOB OVERVIEW: The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate and data-based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. Additionally, will research and analyze financial information to help the company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements. The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge of forecasting models and cost accounting processes. Additionally, will have the ability to explore investment options and propose company-wide financial policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Operational Accounting & Invoicing

  • Execute and manage the customer invoicing process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and alignment with service delivery and contracts.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, including customer communication and issuing credit memos where appropriate.
  • Partner with operations teams to ensure invoice inputs are validated and fully supportable.
  • Develop and document billing SOPs and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Business Analysis & Financial Reporting

  • Work closely with executives and leadership to identify opportunities for business and process improvement.
  • Collect, structure, and analyze large data sets related to revenue, costs, margin, and operational KPIs.
  • Create dashboards, infographics, and other visualization tools to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
  • Support monthly financial close and forecasting processes with variance and trend analysis.

Strategic Finance & Project Work

  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with finance and business unit leaders.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis for key business initiatives and executive team decisions.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of business decisions and operational changes using KPIs and data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects involving pricing, customer profitability, service line performance, and cost optimization.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1-year experience as a Financial Analyst, or similar role. 

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent. 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
  • Strong attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally performed in a professional office environment. The noise level is typically low to moderate. The workspace is well lit, climate-controlled, and equipped with standard office furnishings and technology. Team members may work independently or collaboratively, with frequent computer and phone use. 

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is generally sedentary, with most tasks performed while seated at a desk or workstation. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting of light office materials (up to 20 pounds) may be required. Extended periods of computer use and repetitive hand movements are common. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
