Job Description

Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing quality assurance department, supporting cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of product quality and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Location:  Hayward, CA

Pay Range: $85-95/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Develop and integrate quality and functional checks into the manufacturing process to ensure product excellence.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for assembly-related issues to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Design, implement, and optimize the End-of-Line (EOL) testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Create and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and quality data analysis to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Quality, Vehicle Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Software teams to resolve quality and design issues during manufacturing.

What's Needed?

  • Engineering Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in creating FMEA processes, Control Plans, and APQP documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9000 is preferred.
  • Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience 
  • Process Improvement certification (Lean Six Sigma / Shainin) 
  • CATIA V5/V6 experience
