Skills and Basic Qualifications
About our team:
Animal Kind has been a staple in our community for over 30\nyears. Our employees are long-tenured and work closely together towards the\nsame goal: to provide the best preventative, medical, surgical, and dental care\npossible to our patients, while supporting the well-being of all staff members.\nWe like to have fun at work when we can, by celebrating the holidays with\nbowling parties and potlucks, and throwing in the occasional ugly sweater\ncompetition.
We utilize a boarded surgeon for orthopedic or complicated\nsoft tissue procedures on a non-emergent basis, and a visiting cardiologist who\ncan be scheduled for echocardiograms. We have great relationships with the\nlocal specialty/emergency clinics both utilizing and referring to the\nspecialist consultation services available, and refer when indicated.
We have doctor rounds daily to discuss cases, and extended\nmeetings monthly, lunch and learn seminars, sharing pearls from CE and\nwebinars, and discussing goals, strategies and protocols for the practice and\nstaff.
About the area:
The Park Slope neighborhood is a lovely area, within walking\ndistance of Prospect Park and the F train, with a bus stop in front of the\npractice. Parking and transportation subsidies are available - but many of our\nvets have lived within walking/biking distance of the clinic. We have\ntree-lined streets with lots of great stores and eateries - lots of options for\nlunch orders!
