Job Type : Part-Time Bookkeeper- With potential for more work in the future

We are looking for an individual to join our small team to be a bookkeeper and general office assistant . Our candidate should possess, communication, organization, and office skills. They must be able to work independently and be flexible with hours, responsibilities, and duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Data input of sales, cash receipts and disbursements
• General ledger reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards and clearing accounts
• Bank deposits
• Accounts receivable
• Accounts payable
• Collections
• Payroll administration and reconciliation
• Understanding, preparing and remitting GST source deductions, corporate tax and EHT
• Preparing reports for management
• Coordinating with and assisting external accountants
• Oversee internal office administration and coordination
• Coordinate with advertising agency
  Required experience & skills
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Word
• Experience with A/P, A/R, bank & G/L reconciliation, payroll and inventory
  
   
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Strong English written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new software systems.
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  Preferred experience & skills
• Bookkeeping experience: 3 years or more
• Post-secondary accreditation in accounting or bookkeeping
• Quick-Books Pro accounting program

Accounting Diploma or Degree

Experience in the construction industry an asset

Competitive salary/hourly based on experience

· QuickBooks: 2 – 5 years (preferred)

· Bookkeeping: 2 – 5 years (preferred)
