Job Description

GGD Consulting Engineers, Inc. has immediate openings for full-time *Plumbing/Fire Protection Design Engineers (Junior/Senior) *.

Ideal candidates shall have system design experience for various types of K-12 educational, university, commercial, hospitality and industrial buildings. Projects include new facilities, additions, and renovations. Candidates will be responsible for developing conceptual design and preliminary design documents for plumbing and automatic fire suppression systems. Knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT, or similar computer aided drafting software, is required.

*Senior Engineer* candidates with bachelor’s degree preferred. Senior Engineers shall have a thorough knowledge of the plumbing code and other codes related to the various buildings. Experience in public construction projects is preferred. Candidates shall have the ability to develop plumbing systems concepts and narratives; develop final design documents including specifications and construction documents. Strong project management and communication skills are essential. Candidates will assist in the professional growth and development of junior level personnel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs and knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT preferred.

*Junior/Entry Engineer *candidates shall have (or have the ability to obtain) a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT and Microsoft Office Suite of programs is required. Primary responsibilities will include drafting design and updates of AutoCAD/REVIT drawings from mark-ups to produce clear CAD/REVIT drawings; calculations; and providing engineering support during the construction administration phase.

Candidates should have the ability to work independently and in a team environment; complete tasks as scheduled; be self-motivated; possess strong listening, writing, and communication skills; follow direction; and collaborate with both client representatives and internal team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
