Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & Planning

  • Update schedules daily to reflect changes in priorities, resources, or order specifications.
  • Order Management
  • Review new work orders for accuracy, completeness, and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with engineering to verify build specifications and resolve technical issues before production release.
  • Track work orders through all stages to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Material Coordination
  • Work with purchasing to ensure all materials and components are available before scheduled production dates.
  • Adjust schedules proactively when material shortages or delays occur.
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between production, sales, and project management for scheduling updates.
  • Communicate schedule changes promptly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to review progress, address issues, and adjust priorities.
  • Performance Monitoring
  • Track and report on key metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and production throughput.
  • Identify bottlenecks and work with operations to implement process improvements.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience in a custom manufacturing scheduling role will be considered.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling, preferably in a custom build, job shop, or engineer-to-order environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for scheduling and work order management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
