Transition Consultant I

Gilbane is seeking a Transition Consultant I to be responsible for the planning and tactical execution of a short-term project scope of work or a specific task on a larger project, either individually or through supervision of less senior staff. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.

You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop implementation plans for review by senior manager
  2. Work independently to identify required tasks and initiate activity
  3. Supervise and guide less senior project staff in implementation of the work
  4. Serve as the client's onsite point of contact for related work
  5. Facilitate project meetings with client, vendors, move coordinators, etc.
  6. Develop information for review by more senior staff before presentation to owner for decision making
  7. Implement the Furniture, Fixture and Equipment Plan
  8. Develop monthly report for review by more senior staff prior to submission
  9. Prepare scopes of work for competitive procurements
  10. Monitor adherence to contract
  11. Provide input into and participate in performance reviews, as requested
  12. Act as owner's representative in managing onsite vendors during activation and move timeframes

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS or MS degree in related field
  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access)
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Construction document and drawing literate
  • Knowledge of BIM360, CADD, Bluebeam
  • Ability to travel and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Fairfax, Falls Church and Arlington, VA this ranges from $79,000.00-$105,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
