Job Description

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Cynomi, you will play a critical role in our sales process, tasked with identifying and generating new business leads to fuel our growth. You will engage potential partners through a blend of outbound and inbound strategies, facilitating initial conversations that our Channel Account Managers will advance into deeper partnership discussions. This hybrid role requires presence in the office three days per week, enabling direct collaboration with our diverse and dynamic team. In this position, you will directly contribute to the scaling of Cynomi’s operations and its strategic objectives. Your efforts in engaging potential partners will be crucial in expanding our market reach and enhancing our customer base, to continue our success in the cybersecurity sector. 

Who We Are:

Cynomi is a fast-growing, Silicon Valley VC-backed cybersecurity startup. Experiencing massive growth over the past year, our SaaS product is used by hundreds of service providers worldwide. 

Operating across three continents, Cynomi is leading the vCISO (virtual Chief Information Security Officer) market category with rapidly growing demand for its AI-powered vCISO platform, which empowers service providers (MSPs and MSSPs) to provide high quality cybersecurity services to their customers. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential leads through a combination of cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach. 
  • Lead Qualification: Conduct initial conversations to assess prospect needs and fit, utilizing training provided to effectively identify high-potential opportunities. 
  • CRM Management: Diligently maintain and update CRM records to ensure accurate tracking of leads, activities, and engagement progress. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to optimize outreach strategies and contribute to team targets. 

What We’re Looking For:
  • 1+ years of experience in outbound SDR or similar lead-generation role
  • Strong at sourcing and researching high-potential leads (e.g. via LinkedIn, Sales Navigator)
  • Skilled in personalized outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Familiar with CRM tools and managing sales pipelines
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • Tech-savvy, self-driven, and a strong team player
  • Background in cybersecurity, SaaS, or channel sales is a plus

Not a Must, But a Plus:
  • Experience in the Cybersecurity Industry
  • Familiarity with Channel Sales / Selling to MSPs
