Job Description

ICD, Ivan C. Dutterer, a J. Gibson McIlvain Company, since 1959 has been creating truly custom architectural millwork for America’s finest homes. Custom cabinets, doors, pergolas, and all manner of exterior millwork and trim is the mainstay of our business. Serving architects, builders, and contractors coast to coast and all across the Caribbean islands.
With the partnership of our parent company,  J. Gibson McIlvain and their centuries of lumber expertise we can source the finest materials and eliminate the quality control issues that come from multiple suppliers. Our stump to finished product reach allows for greater control of the quality but also greater insight into creative options and long-term sustainability of the materials used.

IDC is looking for the right candidate who can deliver cabinets that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Using the specifications provided by our foreman, you will use your building and mathematical skills to create cabinets that meet very specific guidelines. You will work alongside the other members of our building team to create an important product that is in high demand. This is a great way to put your carpentry skills to use in an environment where your experience and insight will be sincerely valued. We offer competitive pay and benefits after the completion of your trial period.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Construct and assemble cabinet components and doors, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client

  • Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools
  • Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions
  • Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, drawer slides and other custom hardware as specified
  • Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units
  • Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, keeping workspace clean and organized
Basic Qualifications:

  • Must work well as a team member

Requirements:
