Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position is available within an elementary school setting, focusing on itinerant services for 3- to 4-year-old students. This role involves providing specialized instruction across various locations such as homeschools, daycares, or Head Start centers. The contract runs from ASAP through May 19, 2026.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering developmentally appropriate lessons tailored to diverse learner needs, aligned with state and local curricula.
• Leading IEP meetings in accordance with the special education calendar to ensure compliance.
• Conducting consistent progress monitoring and maintaining accurate electronic student records.
• Organizing mobile learning environments and utilizing technology to create engaging and supportive educational experiences.
• Collaborating effectively with parents, community partners, and school personnel to promote student growth and success.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid Louisiana Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teaching certification.
• Experience in itinerant special education services or working with young children in special education settings.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple instructional environments and travel between sites efficiently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Location and work environment:

• Onsite position based in an elementary school in Haughton, Louisiana.
• Itinerant work requiring travel between multiple student locations within the assigned region.
