Job Summary and Qualifications

Schedule: Mixed shifts of 9 am to 9:30 pm and weekends of 11 am to 11 pm.

In this role, you will deliver specialized nursing care for IV therapy and enteral nutrition, facilitating the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while providing education on vascular access needs and enteral nutrition. Responsibilities include placing enteral feeding tubes and preparing patients for procedures following best practices and evidence-based guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Required: Experience in vascular access, including peripheral access, central venous catheter care, and PICC insertions using ultrasound.
• Preferred: Experience in data collection and outcome measurement related to vascular procedures.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program within 6 months and obtaining a BSN within 4 years from hire.
• Licensure: Current registered nurse license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Certifications: BLS and either VA-BC or CRNI within two years of hire.
