Free Online Skill Classes, EAP, Discounts & many more Job Duties: Assists donors with the unloading of donations, provides a donation receipt, and thanks all donors for their support. Assists in donation tracking and record keeping including maintaining an accurate daily count of donors and donations. Helps donors identify acceptable and unacceptable donation items and explain to donors why an item may be unacceptable. Scan clothing and textiles for defects such as holes, rips, tears, missing fasteners, stains, and color variations; sort and price accordingly. Inspect non-clothing items for defects such as cracks, rust, broken pieces, and operational status; clean, sort, and price items as needed. Flexible to work at different workstations or stock areas as production needs require. Meet production standards: Grade and sort carts with low error rate. Complete sorting, hanging, and tagging racks of clothing. Performs duties in a safe and responsible manner, complies with safety standards and follows operating procedures when utilizing equipment, tools & machinery. Job Requirements: Basic mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using three-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and measurements. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Physical requirements including standing, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs.
