Learn more at Strada is currently recruiting for a Workday Managing Consultant – Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking within our Cloud Optimization Practice area. We have an ever‑expanding business pipeline and are seeking suitably skilled and interested candidates to help us build our practice in line with the growth of the Workday ecosystem. As a Workday Functional Managing Consultant, you will play a key role as part of an industry‑leading team, helping to drive results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within our Professional Services business group. Location is primarily home‑based with travel to client sites (up to 20%). Typical responsibilities include: Analyze, define and document complex business requirements and processes relating to functional area of expertise. Assist with design and review existing or new functionality/configuration with technical and functional resources at all levels, including members of management. Understand the scope and details of project plan and identify and communicate the need for resources for tasks or assigned areas of responsibility. Manage multiple, parallel projects/tasks using exceptional organizational and time management techniques to successfully complete tasks in a timely manner. Manage Workday projects/tasks through the various lifecycle stages, from business need through design and delivery. Provide guidance and thought leadership on how skill set and capability can help resolve client needs and actively participate in all phases of the Workday life cycle. Monitor progress of tasks against plan, and report status to leadership on project issues. Establish and maintain client relationships, communicating client feedback to leadership as appropriate. Suggest improvements and proactively address issues, answering all inquiries by established deadlines. Demonstrate knowledge relating to Workday functional area and participate in training and development initiatives to keep abreast of current trends and practices. Contribute to knowledge management capital through activities such as sharing documented lessons learned, Q&A, documented deliverables, and regularly posting best practices and knowledge sharing information to the internal info sharing site. Understands quality standards for own work and monitors and manages work of team members, providing feedback as appropriate. Complete assigned tasks in prescribed timelines consistent with deliverables and ask for support and direction as appropriate. May provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to other team members. Required skills and qualifications: 5 to 7+ years previous experience implementing and/or configuring Workday Payroll, Absence and/or Time Tracking. Prior experience may include PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP, Oracle E‑Business, Ultipro or other SaaS solutions. Workday deployment or post‑production experience required. Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization is preferred. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Experience transforming business requirements into complex system configurations. Ability to effectively engage on multiple parallel projects; time management and organizational skills are required. Demonstrates ability to prioritize conflicting demands with little supervision. Strong work ethics and setting an example for others. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Advanced MS Excel skills to transform data (advanced formulas). Ability to travel up to 20%. This role does not support sponsorship. Workday Payroll, Absence or Time Tracking certification required. Certification in multiple functional areas is a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, or financial discipline or relevant field of study required.
