Internship Details

An internship at Intrado isn’t just a summer job, it’s an unforgettable experience! 

Internships start June 17th and go until August 9th. This internship will be onsite at our Longmont, CO office. 

We are looking for an Instructional Design Intern . 

This position will support our Customer Experience organization.   This team   is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, retention and growth. We want to ensure that customers not only find value in our products and services but also continue to do so over the long term. This team reviews the customer lifecycle from purchase to implementation, ensuring proactive (not reactive) customer support, issue resolution, on time delivery and all at the highest levels of quality. 

Each intern will focus on completing a project designed to provide hands on, career/major relevant project experience that will have an immediate and lasting impact on a real time business need. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to:

Essential Duties:

• Work alongside Technical Training leaders to understand job duties and shadow responsibilities
• Learn more about electronic learning (eLearning) and how it impacts customer experience
• Following the ADDIE model, work on the design and development of an eLearning program for onboarding new customers using our reporting software. 
• Working with subject matter experts, you’ll create storyboards for the onboarding course, use eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360, Captivate) to develop content.
• Working with focus groups, you will pilot the content and gather feedback to help evaluate its effectiveness. 
• Interview leaders in Technical Training to understand best practices
• Take ownership of your project from start to finish, culminating in a presentation to our executive team on your experiences and accomplishments.
• Take a deep dive into our business operations with enthusiasm and curiosity.
• Share your ideas for innovation, process improvement and ways we can delight our customers.

Qualifications

• Junior, Senior or Master’s student or 2nd year community college students with a major in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Marketing, Communications, MIS or equivalent field.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem solving and adaptability skills
• Passion for learning and a strong interest in supporting Intrado’s mission.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 or Captivate, is an asset.
